ABOUT
Hi, I’m Juliet Cochrane and this is the story of Source.
Founder of Source, Juliet, is on a mission to teach the art of living well as a vehicle towards leading a more connected and creative life within oneself and the world around us. She has a background in the arts, over ten years of dedicated yoga and meditation practice and eight years teaching studio classes, corporate classes and online content. Studios include: Stretch, the Well Garden and Supply Yoga. Private clients include Lululemon and Allpress.
She delights in offering the chance to slow down and calm the nervous system with Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra. She believes sleep is the forgotten pillar to our health and advocates for the humble nap.
Juliet’s teaching originates in dynamic flow and developed in taking inspiration from Peter Blackaby (Intelligent Yoga), Scaravelli, Laban movement, Embodied movement, Somatic movement and the Franklin Method - all of which point to the idea of tuning into the body’s innate wisdom stored inside the nervous system, and find ways to listen to it and heal it from within.
Juliet originally went to art school to study Creative Writing and gained an MA at Goldsmiths, mastering in poetry. From there she worked in film and theatre, writing, producing, directing and performing.
During this time she began practicing yoga daily and in 2016 took her first RYS-200 hour Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training from Frog Lotus Yoga International, going straight into top London yoga studios to teach Dynamic Yoga. This turned into full-time teaching, including more gentle ‘wind down’ classes, restorative yoga and meditation.
She has continued to submerse herself in professional development trainings with some truly exceptional teachers, influencing her approach to the art of yoga, such as: Vajrasati with Jim Tarren, Embodied Movement (Embodied Anatomy Lab and The Language of Embodiment) with Mollie McLelland Morris, and most recently, 30 CPD hours intensive training in Restorative Yoga and Yoga Nidra with Dina Cohen and 12 hours CPD in Transformative Rest with Dina Cohen and Laura Green. I thank my teachers past and present: from your deep dedication to the practice you have given great inspiration and support and for that I am forever grateful.
My desire to share this magic has resulted in a never-ending deep-dive into the art of yoga, my own creativity, mindfulness and the art of living well.
In 2020 the birth of my daughter brought an even deeper level of drive to live life more intentionally and Source was created.
I’m on a mission to teach mindful rest, movement and creativity as a vehicle towards leading a more conscious, connected and creative life within oneself and the world around us.
SOURCE VALUES + OUR FOUNDATION
ACCEPTANCE
We value acceptance. Acceptance of ourselves, our current reality, our inner world, our vulnerabilities, our guilt, our shame, our desires, our goals, our humanness. There are no expectations to be anyone other than the magnificent human being that you are.
Collective:
We value collective consciousness. We deeply value our connection to nature, our planet, our communities and the people within them. And we commit to valuing it all as if we are one. Conscious living is the definition of the art of living well.
Creativity:
We value creative expression. Creativity does not have to be a fleeting thing. We are artists and believe in an outlet for that expression. The world needs the magic that is within each one of us.
Ease:
We value peace. We value relaxation. We value stillness. We value ease. It is here where some of the deepest healing of our world can take place and we are here to hold space for it.
