PAUSE
Yoga Nidra and Restorative Yoga for calming and recuperating an overstimulated nervous system and finding equilibrium.
Rest is a radical act of self-care in a world that glorifies hustle. Sadly the culture we live in doesn’t promote a well-rested, nourished and balanced mind and body as the key to reaching all of your goals, when in all actuality - once you actually stop, go within and find the truest, deepest connection to yourself - you find the greatest expression of who you really are.
WHAT IS
YOGA NIDRA?
It translates as ‘yogic sleep’ or ‘dynamic sleep’ and is practiced lying down, anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour.
It can be a go-to tool for calming the nervous system, relieving stress and anxiety, inspiring creativity, and promoting a renewed connection to ourselves and the wider world. You’ll finish a session feeling refreshed and energised for the rest of the day.

The main purpose of practising Restorative Yoga is to help elicit the body’s relaxation response and helps to heal a dysregulated nervous system that is used to operating in high-stress situations on a daily basis. There’s very little movement, we use soft and supportive props to hold the body in restful positions for extended periods of time - between 2 and 10 minutes.
